Happy new year!!

The whole gang is loving the desert! Even Bella. Today we found a strange oasis with all kinds of animals and a merry-go-round.

Into the mountains again

We had to stop

Even when it's freezing outside (for our standards) and it's been raining for two days (it's raining again now) I still had to stop to check out the sunset when we just happened to see the golden orb break through 10 minutes before sunset. To our amazement it kind of looked like ice was beginning to form on the shore. So weird. It was solidified foam from the waves. I need to know why that happened (or maybe I don't because it might be a really gross answer). So weird..cool weird..to see. It was floating/rolling across the sand. Dead giveaway that it was not ice. Check it out.

Wyland dug it. Literally, he tried to start a sand castle. Didn't want to leave.

Wyland's big day

Wyland took the cake with his performance of the melting snowman. I'll take a crack at sending the video next. And then he literally got some cake. Yes this mom did let him have an m&m cookie and lemonade while I had soup. I know what you're thinking..."is she sick" and well um yes, yes I am. This week was a bit rough. Isn't he just so cute with his super large cookie though!!? Ha..he later stickered his mouth shut with grocery store stickers. Ha..this kid...HI-larious!

..asked Wyland. Of course he got a bowl to capture it when daddy told him it was in his head.

Little does he know he has a fantastic imagination.

We are reading "Stranger in the Woods" and the back explains how to make a snowman..last item..2 scoops of imagination. Silly kids that have no snow.

Wyland's first foot race

Yeah Wyland!! He completed 21 laps (I was told ~ 1/10th of a mile). He was really red and tired but he did great in the school Jogathon fundraiser!!
