We welcomed Wyland James Smith into this world on Thursday May 26, 2011. Within minutes of meeting him we fell in love and hope that you will enjoy our little man as well with each new post. Lots of Love - Michelle & Jason!!

Days of Christmas
Day 24: Happy Christmas Eve! Sid's getting to know santa, and Wyland's getting excited poking around at the presents. Before bed tonight we sprinkled reindeer food on the front lawn to guide santa in (thanks for letting us in on the secret Aunt Laura). Fingers crossed!! Night night :)

Days of Christmas
Day 23: It's getting close!!
We went on the train again! Wyland's bud Bradley and his momma made the trek down with us this time. Wyland got to pay and was so excited to have a ticket (he's free yeah but didn't understand so he held mine lol). We painted some farm equipment, played with Mr. and Mrs. Potato head (how do we not own one of those? Just dated myself) rode avocado teeter toters, played with the digestive tract, and then waited for the train back.
Wyland did get to ride the red train - yeah - he's been asking for a few weeks now. It's the trolley from the museum which takes u two short stops back to the train up the coast. After a long day of playing, best $2.50 I've spent in a while to avoid the just shy of a mile walk back. Live and learn - sorry nana and papa!! My little man then I played a nice tune before we all turned into bed :)

Day 22: School day for Wyland. The little monkey stole some bananas, climbed all over the place, and finally landed in some sand to dig.

Days of Chrsitmas
Day 21: Whew feeling a bit better. The boys played outside today in the nice warm sunshine and got some good ole fresh air.
As usual the got ready for bed with a pillow fort/hiding which turned into floor wrestling...naturally. Yep they must be getting better.
Oh and we decided to start on a new project. Phase 1..

Day 20: The boys are still sick :( We mostly played inside..hung Sid's new stocking. Thanks Grammie! Sid made sure to scoot behind the tree and throw cars in for extra special decoration. But look, the busy little guy settled down for a Christmas mater tale. Good night to all.

Days of Christmas
Day 19: I am cracking up over this kid's facial expressions today. Haha. Ok go everyone stick out their tongue! Lunch today consisted of everything on the floor until I have in and handed over Grammies rice crispies..they disappeared.
But with all the craziness just look at those two cuties relaxing side by side at the end of the day.

Days of Christmas
Day 18: Still sick and still silly. We started the day with a little grinch, met an elf, played pee-a-boo with a snake, and ended the day with dueling monkeys (well technically a monkey and a gorilla). In between Sid got an early present that he carried around for a while before we hung it up by the chimney with care. Thanks Grammie!! Then we all collapsed into bed and waited for daddo to return home.

Days of Christmas
Day 17: Sid took in the decorations from the kids table while missing his brother (where is he?). Like those lights? That was Wyland's addition. Playing games before nap time and bedtime (little squirrel likes to rifle through every drawer and doesn't like to sleep). Winner, winner...clean plate club for Mr. Wyland. The poor little guy is still sick but it's a weird one...sick w temp refusing liquids, then a normal day with a voracious appetite and then today no fever and only liquids but acting really lethargic..we'll get through it. Hopefully before the jolly ole elf makes and appearance.

Days of Christmas
Day 16: Sick day 2 and rain again..sorry Bella, someone forgot to check the weather :( and we didn't get out early enough.
We listened to the rain drops get louder and louder and wow the wind really picked up too. The Kid's tried to beat the rain drops away lol! We decided it was a perfect day for some crafts...sparty snow globe anyone? And some homemade essential oil play dough that I enjoyed just as much as the kids. Who wouldn't love kneading out frustrations on a ball of Orange, Christmas Spirit, Rosemary, or Thieves scented plays dough while stuck inside sick? Yeah thought so haha! I asked Wyland to pick out the colors only once mentioning I would like purple to be one of the four. He insisted on yellow..I told him I didn't like yellow..to which he replied "momma yellow is your favorite". Nope Wyland it's not. But wouldn't you know, it was my favorite dough ball of the day (the combo of yellow and thieves was pure magic). Thanks for making yellow happen Wyland!!

(Wyland was hiding under the covers being sick :( and that last one was at about 11pm..he just would not go down..all giggles at 11pm. Eh..cute thou..kids.

Days of Christmas
Day 14: Sunday Dinday playing at home. Wyland is a great little helper in the kitchen..chocolate pecan pancakes anyone?? After breakfast we built Sid's train on the little guys workbench.
Speaking of helpers...Sid always likes to help unpack the groceries.
